Computer Upgrading

New 2 Used Computers has access to all hardware and software available on the market. Whether you are looking for a new hard drive, processor and motherboard or simply want to make your computer faster with a memory upgrade.

Call us so we can discuss what type of upgrade makes sense for you. During our conversation you will be asked about your present system so we can discern its value and worth… Very often it does not make economical sense to upgrade an older computer. Sometimes the money you spend should be on an entirely new system or one which has been used and previously enjoyed.  New 2 Used Computers can help you make that decision regarding your immediate needs.

You can click here and use our convenient booking form so we can visit your home and or business and consult you on what we believe would be in your best interest. Truly get an honest opinion. We will never upsell you such as other retailers.

Now for a bit about memory and hard drive upgrades. There seems to be some confusion regarding what these devices actually do. So lets clear up some of the confusion now.  Memory is volatile which means it is used up and then emptied such as a glass of water. You fill the memory module up while you are processing information and then when you are done you reboot your computer and the memory is emptied and ready to go to work again on the many different tasks, processes you are trying to accomplish on your computer. Your hard drive is where information is stored permanently until you delete it.

How do I know if I need a memory upgrade?

  1. Frequent Illegal Operations
  2. Freezing - Mouse freezes forcing you to restart your system
  3. Very slow upon first starting up your computer. If you have a number of programs running on your task bar and inadequate memory your computer will be slow initially upon a successful boot.
  4. Swapping between applications is slow.
  5. There are others but you get the idea. So if you are experiencing any of the above you would greatly benefit from a memory upgrade.
